Carrie B. "Tad" Broughton

Carrie B. "Tad" Broughton, 96, of Huntington went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 in Hospice House of Huntington.  Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM, Monday, April 28, 2008, at Beard Mortuary with Rev. Jim Franklin officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Pecks Mill with a graveside service at 3:30.  She was born August 9, 1911 in Logan, WV a daughter of the late William D. and Dora Alice Hackworth Corn.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde William Broughton, Sr.; two sons, Clyde William, Jr. and Robert; three brothers, Raymond, Frank, and Don Corn; and one grandchild.  She was a charter member of the Peach Creek Methodist Church and attended Highlawn Baptist Church for 35 years.  She is survived by her daughters, Patty and Clarence Stroud, II of Rainelle, Brenda Naylor of Huntington; her sister, Betty Jane and James H. Reed of Huntington; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.  Friends may call from 11 AM until time of the service on Monday at the mortuary.
