Cameron Wood

Cameron "Tracy" Wood, 50 of Melbourne, FL, formerly of Huntington, passed from this life on Monday, August 11, 2008 in Cabell-Huntington Hospital after an extended illness.  Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2008 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington with Mr. Dallas Moore officiating.  Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington.  He is the son of Anna Lawhon Wood of Huntington and the late Donald R. Wood.  He graduated from Barboursville High School in 1976.  He worked as a residential architectural draftsman as well as a mechanical/electrical draftsman at the Kennedy Space Center.  He served in the US Navy Reserves.  He is survived by two brothers, Craig Wood of Huntington and Kelly Wood of Barboursville; one sister, Dawn Wood-Brooks of South Point, OH; longtime friends, Junior and Flora Hart of Melbourne, FL, whom made him a part of their family; a very special aunt, Betty Knight of Cottageville, WV.  He will be missed by his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.  His family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at CHH 2 North Tower for the care and compassion they gave during this difficult time.  Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 14th at the mortuary.  Online condolences may be sent at www.beardmortuary.com
