Beverly Ann Vanderzalm

Beverly Ann Bryant VanderZalm, 79, of Winter Garden, Florida, formerly of Huntington, West Virginia, went to be with her Savior and Lord after a  long battle with ovarian cancer on Thursday, June 28, 2012. She was born July 26, 1932, to the late Lyle Charles and Anna Caldwell Bryant. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Marlyn and Bobby Bryant; a sister, Charlotte Hensley; brothers-in-law James Hensley and Robert Mays, Sr.; and sisters-in-law Ethel and Libby Bryant. Beverly was a member of First Baptist Church, Windermere, Fla. and a graduate of Huntington East High School and Marshall University with a degree in home economics. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert VanderZalm; a sister, Lois Mays of Hurricane, W.Va.; a brother, Clarence Bryant, of Huntington; a daughter, Anna (Jeff) Smith, of Huntington; and a son, Dr. Glen (Lauren) VanderZalm, of Windermere. She also leaves behind five grandchildren: Sheanna (Joshua) Spence of Hurricane; Jameson Smith of Huntington; and Lindsey, Bobby, and Bradley VanderZalm of Windermere; and one forthcoming great-grandchild. A memorial service was held in the chapel at First Baptist Church Windermere at 2PM Saturday, June 30, followed by a celebration of Beverly's life.  A graveside service will be held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville, W.Va. on Tuesday, July 3, at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local Hospice.
