BETTY ANN HALLEY POTTER, 82, of Milford, OH, formerly of Huntington, WV and Chesapeake, OH, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2014. She was the wife of Stanley Potter. She was born on August 17, 1931 in Wayne County, WV, a daughter of the late William and Bessie Berry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband of 60 years, William Halley; brothers Victor, James, Orville, Paul, Charles and Roy Berry; sisters Rita Kuhn, Ruth Horoszko, Mary Blake and Glenna Ross. She is survived by daughter Kathryn (Richard) Rice; grandson, Dr. Chris (Carolyn) Rice; granddaughter, Emily (Chuck) Crawford; step-grandsons, Patrick (Sarah) Potter, Andrew (Lisseth) Potter, Kevin Potter and Kyle Potter; great-grandchildren, Mya Crawford, Carson Rice and A.J. Potter; step-sons, Dr. S. Steven (Sue) Potter and Charles (Dreema) Potter. Betty devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. For many years she was an active member of the Highlawn United Methodist Church where she was a MYF Counselor, choir member and served on numerous committees. Betty will be remembered as Nanny / Nan by those close to her heart. Her family is eternally grateful for the loving memories she left with them. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev Ron Page officiating. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.
