Betty June Holland

Betty June Holland, 89, widow of Roy M. Holland, of Huntington, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 9, 2011.  Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2011 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington with Minister Allen Cole officiating.  Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington.  She was born April 30, 1921 in Plain City, OH, a daughter of the late Fonnie Everett and Effie Ann Blain.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn L. Gilbreath, Loreena Blain and Cathryn McQuaide and one brother, Reed Austin Blain.  She was a private LPN, having retired in 1983 and was a member of the 26th Street Church of Christ.  She is survived by two sons, Everett M. Holland (Joyce) and Leroy E. Holland, both of Huntington; one daughter, Martha A. Kouns (Russell) of Ashland, KY; two grandchildren, Shawn K. Howard of Broken Arrow, OK and Kristin J.
