Betsy Ann Lake

Betsy Ann Lake, 67, of Huntington, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2008 in St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington.  Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 12, 2008 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Brady Lipscomb officiating.  Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park.  She was born October 1, 1940 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Dorothy Williams.  She was also preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William E. and Alice T. Williams; maternal grandparents, George and Nell Franklin; one brother, Larry Williams and good friend, Barbara "Bo" Johnson.  Betsy graduated from Huntington High school in 1959.  She then graduated Nursing School as an LPN.  She was employed at Fairhaven Rest Home for over 30 years, where she was a Charge Nurse.  She is survived by her husband, Bill Lake; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Dawn Lake; one daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Scott Drake; three grandchildren, Cortney Johnson and her husband, Jimmy, Aaron Lake, and Rachel Lake; one great granddaughter, Holiday Johnson; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sara and Norman Alexander and Martha and Paul Spaulding; and several nieces and nephews.  Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 11th at the mortuary.
