Bertha Lou Hardwick

BERTHA LOU HARDWICK, 61, of Huntington passed away on Monday, August 23, 2010 at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born on May 23, 1949 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Don and Adrian Wilcoxen Higginbotham.  She is survived by her husband, Samuel E. Hardwick; mother and father in law, Samuel and Rosalee Hardwick, two sons, Christopher E. (Robin) Hardwick and Gregory S. Hardwick and his special friend Maya Lane, both of Huntington; Robin's parents Donald and Sylvia Reed; one brother, Donald W. Higginbotham of Mountain Home, AR;  Sister-in-law (Patty (Larry) Fowler of FL, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; life-long friends, Susan Withers, Tonya Damron and Kay Ball; and many other friends. Bertha worked for Chase Bank and was a member of the Seventh Avenue Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Beard Mortuary, Huntington with Pastor Bob Withers officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington.
