Barbara Lynn Rooney

Barbara Lynn Rooney, 54 of Lesage, WV, born September 14, 1955; passed away Monday, September 28, 2009. Barbara was a loving wife, a wonderful mother, and a magnificent friend. Her beauty was breathtaking and she had a smile that would light up any room. Barbara had such a giving heart and a burning love for God. She had tremendous faith in God and a beautiful spirit. Barbara touched many people in her life and her sweet, kind, and caring heart will never be forgotten! She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael S. Rooney on April 6, 2005 and was also preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Lee Turner. She was an insurance agent in Barboursville, WV and was a member of Quick Fire Ministries. Barbara's legacy will be carried on by her loving children, Matthew Rooney of Alabaster, AL; Hillary Rooney and her fiancé David Fernandes of Cincinnati, OH; Megan Hall and her husband, Jamael Hall of Huntington; and Danielle Rooney of Lesage; four beautiful grandchildren, Nina Rooney, Michael Rooney, Dominique Rooney-Johnson and Hadassah Hall; she is also survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kathy (Rich) Edmondson, Pat Rooney, III, Kelly (Mike) Harp, Jimmy (Linda) Rooney and Gerri (Andrew) Perez and a host of extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 10, 2009 at 1:30 PM at Beard Mortuary with Mike and Tari Day and Paul and Linda Morrison officiating. Barbara's request as a replacement for gifts and flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Michael & Barbara Rooney Joint Heirs Healing Scholarship Fund at any City National Bank or send to P.O.
