Aubrey C. "Mac" McCaleb, 87, of Huntington, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at the Woodlands Healthcare Center, Huntington. He was born December 14, 1923 in Covington, VA, a son of the late Brooks and Pearl McCaleb. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Carol Ingram. Mr. McCaleb was a Veteran of WWII and was retired from CSX Railroad as Head Foreman of the Electric Shop. He was a member of the American Legion Post 16, Huntington and a 50 year member of the Huntington Masonic Lodge 53, Grand Lodge of WV AF & AM, 32nd degree member of the Scottish Rite and Director Emeritus of the Huntington C&O Railway Credit Union. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Hilsheimer McCaleb; one son, William Craig McCaleb of Trenton, NJ; two daughters, Carla Ray of Mission Viejo, CA and Cathy Brown of Eufaula, OK; one brother, Harold E. McCaleb of Huntington; two grandsons, Brandon and John T. Ray of Mission Viejo, CA; and two granddaughters, Katy and Amy Brown of Edmond, OK. Visitation will be Saturday, April 23, 2011 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Beard Mortuary, Huntington. Graveside services will be private.
