Anna Frances (Booth) Compton

Anna Frances Compton, of Huntington, wife of Jack Compton, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at her home.  Frances was born on July 21, 1940, in Ohio, the daughter of the late Oscar Booth and Lola Hazelett Woodard.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers: Bill, Carroll and Royce Booth and sister, Phyllis Jones. She was a retired teacher, having taught for many years at Kellogg Elementary School in Wayne County.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and their spouses: Rick (Jennifer) Compton and Kenny (Jennifer) Compton of Huntington, three grandchildren: Hannah Compton, Kenna Compton and Noah Compton, one sister Loretta Adkins, and a sister-in-law Barbara Booth. Graveside services will be private for the family. Beard Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
