Allen Jennings Farley

Allen Jennings Farley, 89 of Huntington, WV passed away on Tuesday August 25, 2009 at his residence.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 29, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Beard Mortuary with Rev. Jerry Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park.  He was born July 29, 1920 in Huntington a son of the late Henry and Amy Dora Jenkins Farley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Jewell Linville Farley, a brother and five sisters. He was retired from the Cabell County School Board. He was a former member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, former manager of the Serena Yacht Club, and owner of the Huntington Yacht Club. He was an avid boater and camper. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Randy Sites of Huntington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Rose Farley of Huntington and Lowell and Carolyn Farley of Barboursville, WV, twelve grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Beard Mortuary. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospice of Huntington.
