Adam David Weiler-Guthrie

September 14, 1985 — September 10, 2013

ADAM WEILER GUTHRIE, climbed the ultimate mountain to be with the Lord in the early hours of Monday, September 10, 2013.  Family will receive friends at Beard Mortuary on Sunday from 12-2, until service time at 2:00, with Rev. Chuck Lawrence officiating.  He would have turned 28, on Saturday, September 14th.   He is survived by his mother, Barbara Guthrie Ford and her husband, Charlie, of Largo, Florida;  his father, David Weiler and his wife, Kay.  He is also survived by his siblings, Michele Guthrie (Chris)Hankins, Shannon Guthrie (Jonathan) Kirshner and Patrick V. Guthrie (Jessica Bright), and his younger brother,  Andrew Weiler.  Additional survivors include his grandparents, Betty and Jim Weiler, uncles, Jimmy, Bobby, Mark, Mike and his Aunt EB.  Maternal  grandmother, Pat Hazelett, aunts, Patsy Pyles and Priscilla Hazelett.  He loved his nieces and nephews, Kaila Maynard, John Patrick and Georgia Hankins, Harrison, Allison and Hanna Kirshner.  Adam spent several years as a guide on the Gauley and New River.  He excelled at free-climbing and loved the outdoors, beach and mountains.  He was charismatic, adventurous and fun loving.  He always signed his letters, Peace, Love and Light, which represented what he always wanted for his friends and family.  He was attending Marshall University and Christ Temple Church where he was recently baptized.   Adam, was quick witted and often made our family laugh.  He would be the first to say that he made plenty of mistakes, but would want his friends and family to love, forgive and contribute in memory of his journey here on earth.  Those who wish, may make memorial contributions to The Lifehouse, 631 4th Street, Huntington.
